BAGAM Engages Strategic Industry Partners at DSA 2026

  • Date: 20-23 April 2026

  • Venue: Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Participating in Asia’s Premier Defence and Security Platform

The Business and General Aviation Association of Malaysia, BAGAM, participated in the 19th Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition & Conference, held in conjunction with NATSEC Asia 2026, one of the region’s most prominent defence and homeland security events. Hosted and supported by the Ministry of Defence Malaysia, DSA is widely recognised as a premier biennial platform showcasing advanced defence technologies, systems, and solutions across land, air, and sea domains. The event brings together military officials, government agencies, defence contractors, and industry leaders from across the globe in a highly focused B2B environment.

Strengthening Industry Engagement and Collaboration

BAGAM’s participation reflects its continued efforts to engage with a broader spectrum of the aviation and aerospace ecosystem, including defence and security sectors. The event provided a valuable platform to connect with key stakeholders, explore emerging technologies, and identify potential areas of collaboration. As aviation continues to intersect with defence, security, and advanced technology domains, platforms such as DSA play an important role in fostering cross-sector dialogue and innovation.

Key Engagements and Highlights

During the exhibition, BAGAM participated in several key engagements that underscore its growing role within the industry. Among the highlights was witnessing the official opening ceremony and the LIMA 2027 award presentation, officiated by YB Dato' Seri Haji Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Minister of Defence Malaysia, an important moment that reflects the continued development of Malaysia’s aerospace and defence landscape.

BAGAM also had the opportunity to engage with Dr. Ir. Ts. Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO), during the exhibition. In addition, BAGAM held a productive discussion on participation in the upcoming MyAERO Summit 2026, further reinforcing its commitment to supporting industry-driven initiatives and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders.

Supporting Members and Showcasing Innovation

As part of its engagement at DSA 2026, BAGAM also visited the booth of its member, Chemtron Pte Ltd, demonstrating continued support for members while exploring innovations presented at the exhibition.

The event featured a wide range of advanced technologies and solutions, highlighting the rapid evolution of the defence and aerospace sectors. For BAGAM, such exposure is essential in staying aligned with global trends and identifying opportunities that may benefit its members and the broader aviation community.

Expanding BAGAM’s Industry Footprint

Participation in DSA 2026 reflects BAGAM’s strategic approach to expanding its presence beyond traditional business aviation platforms. By engaging with defence and security stakeholders, BAGAM continues to strengthen its role as a connector within the wider aerospace ecosystem. These engagements also contribute to a deeper understanding of how emerging technologies, regulatory frameworks, and industry demands are shaping the future of aviation.

DSA 2026 once again demonstrated its importance as a platform for advancing collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange across the defence and aerospace sectors. For BAGAM, the event provided not only visibility but also meaningful opportunities to connect with partners who are shaping the future of aviation and security. As the industry continues to evolve, such platforms remain critical in driving progress and fostering long-term partnerships.
